Shehab El-Hashemy
Shehab El-Hashemy MBChB, ND, received his medical degree from Cairo University and his naturopathic degree from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. He holds an undergraduate degree in biology from Lakehead University and a 2-year post graduate residency from CCNM. Shehab filled a clinical appointment as a clinic supervisor at the RSNC and its satellite clinic at Anishnawbe Health Toronto, for three years. He worked as a lecturer and/or small group facilitator in a variety of academic courses such as physical and clinical diagnosis skills, counselling, emergency medicine, and men's health. Shehab served part-time in the Canadian Forces Naval Reserve from 1997-2008.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at CCNM, where he established a problem-based, objective-structured clinical curriculum for standardizing primary care best practices. Recently he accepted the duties of the associate dean of academic delivery at CCNM, which involves reconciling course and program objectives with those of accrediting and licensing bodies. He recently published a best practice guideline titled“Standards of Primary Care for Naturopathic Physicians” (CCNM Press 2007). Shehab is in private practice in Oshawa, Ontario. His practice focus is on primary care pediatrics with interest in developmental pediatrics. His treatment approaches is a blend a blend of safe and effective traditional naturopathic medicine and evidence based approaches.

NIAM hosts a successful and expanding Naturopathic Pediatric Practice, where great strides are being achieved with infants/children who are not meeting developmental milestones. The following conditions are the most frequently treated at our clinic:
